WI-FI PRODUCTS WITH REDUCED BOM AND COST
Our current combo solution CG2905 (GPS+Bluetooth+FM Radio) and the dual band CW1260 (WLAN), or cost optimized single band solutions CW1160 and CW1100 (WLAN), offer a lower BOM, better cost structure, lower power and more flexible layout than currently available solutions. We are driving the realization of smaller geometries with our customers in mobile devices to deliver the best solutions for smartphone and tablet platforms.
What is Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi is the generic term used to describe WI-FI data connections based on the IEEE802.11 standard and its amendments. It provides a Wireless Local Area Connection via Access Points in offices, at home and in over 750,000 Hotspots around the world to the internet. Wi-Fi Direct further extends the capabilities of Wi-Fi CertifiedTM devices allowing fast, secure and simple media sharing without the need for an infrastructure.
